With a song in their heart, Toad begins the long ascent into outer space. Each jump seems to cry out in harmony with the universe, each leap a note in the symphony of the history of Toadkind. This is what Toad was born for.

Did you think that Goombrats were basically just grumpy little Goombas? Ha! In truth, they are extraterrestrial plant lifeforms with a mission to take over Discordia! Toad has infiltrated their moon base where they are reproducing rapidly, but is there anything they can do to halt their advance?

A protracted construction schedule and quagmired funding have led to neglect and poor maintenance of these in-development cosmic caves. Now they are used only by dangerous pests. Can Toad dodge the pesky Parabeetles and Munchers as they make their way to the other side?

Boom Boom established a mine to harvest magma, and hired a bunch of moles to run it! But why does he want magma, and do the new job opportunities he created for the underprivileged Monty Mole tribe justify it? Despite the Moles’ pensions and union benefits, Toad is sure Boom Boom is up to something nefarious.

Safety regulations? Not on this moon! On Moonbase Mole Mine, many Monty Moles are manning massive machinery to mine for money. Luckily for Toad, the moles' carelessness opens an opportunity for them to get away with their pockets full of lunar loot.

On their way back into the atmosphere, Toad is waylaid by a skeleton ship helmed by Larry. In order to bring peace to the dead sky sailors, Toad must defeat their crazed captain, who now directs these bony swashbucklers as his own personal guard.
