The Dangerous Dunes have held their name for ages—the sweltering heat and prickly local flora being more than enough to warrant it—but it sure feels more accurate now that a bunch of Spikes have decided that it’s the perfect place to throw their briery balls around.

Boomenkhamen’s tomb is NOT haunted! At least, that’s what Luigi must tell himself as he enters the grand monument. But even if the legendary pharaoh doesn’t still roam his resting place, his deadly traps are surely no spectre.

A Hammer Bro construction project sees pipes and infrastructure running through the vibrant Pokey Oasis in order to funnel out the pure water for profit. Unable to adapt to these changes to their natural environment, Pokeys are constantly caught in the machinery. The once placid body of water has devolved into chaos and become difficult to traverse. Luigi must take care not to become yet another victim of industry.

Luigi’s in a hurry, so he hitches a ride on a prison train, full of Bowser’s critics, who have been locked up and shipped off to somewhere they’ll never be seen again. Luigi will have to dodge the cruel and wily guards if he hopes to disembark with his freedom intact.
